Sonic Colors

Sonic Colors (titled Sonic Colours in some markets) is a platform in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It was first announced on May 26, 2010, in a press release by SEGA for Italy, and it included a teaser trailer. The game was released for the Wii and Nintendo DS on November 11, 2010, in Australia; November 12, 2010, in Europe; November 16, 2010, in North America; and November 18, 2010, in Japan. In Sonic Colors, protagonist Sonic the Hedgehog fights his archrival, Dr. Eggman, after he has taken an alien race, known as Wisps, hostage and is using them for his evil purposes. Gameplay switches occasionally from third person to side-scrolling, and during gameplay, Sonic is able to activate Wisp power-ups to increase his attack powers, as well as reach places he cannot do by himself. Reviews for the game were mostly positive; reviewers have praised the presentation, citing excellent graphics, music that is considered to be some of the finest in the series, interchanging perspective in gameplay and Sonic's advantages when using the Wisps. Criticism included sometimes unresponsive controls and occasional poor level design that led to an inconsistent difficulty. I personally thought the level designs were great and the controls were right on. There a few things here and there, but I can't complain about it. Feel free to talk about the game-play, storyline, music, characters, voice actors, etc here. Lets hear your thoughts on this game.

This topic is anything about Sonic Colors. That's a completely different topic. The only thing that relates to this is rainbows.

But there are alot of colors in a rainbow. D:

in my opion all sonic games would be better if you could customize your charecter.

I wish we had the Chao gardens or even a Wisp garden in the game.

Something with the Wisps would have been good.

This is honestly my most favouritest Sonic Game right now <3 /GenerationsMightChangeThatTho
It was freaking colourful and I felt like I was pumped through many of the stages ;; (Dude yelling things while your doing tricks and transforming=Yes)
Not to mention the music is Beaten to Overuse on my iPod ;w;
Only thing I was meh-ish on was the Dialouge but fffft was nothin' compared to rest of the game <3

Agreed Nova. Sonic Colors is definitely one of the greatest games SEGA has made for Sonic in awhile.

Supposedly, if you get all seven Chaos Emeralds and all of the red rings from every stage and mission, you unlock a Super Sonic option in the options menu. Once this option is unlocked, you can play as Super Sonic on normal levels, standard strings attached (must collect 50 rings to be able to transform; still able to die by drowning, crushing, and falling off the stage; 1 ring used every second to maintain transformation). However, this does allow you to finish the levels faster. Also, on the DS version alone, you can fight the TRUE final boss: The Nega-Mother Wisp. However, you merely have to beat the game and collect all seven Chaos Emeralds; you can unlock the boss without any Chaos Emeralds in your possession.

Already unlocked Super Sonic awhile ago. Its easier to get through Aquarium Park as Super Sonic but you can't routes that you could with the wisps. I only really use Super Sonic in Terminal Velocity Act 1 where he's only really useful.

I cannot voice my opinion on a game I have not played. I got Sonic Colors a while back and still haven't taken it out of it's case. Due to my workload at the moment, I couldn't really play it for the time being anyway.

Colors is Good, Great, Awesome, Outstanding, AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ~ Yes I felt it was the perfect time to do that.

I loved the level designs, I actually stopped at some points of the fast-paced game to admire it. Then I got shot at, so I had to Wisp it underground.... Then I beat the first three levels within two hours. x.x

One planet I had trouble with the most, Asteroid Coaster. XDDD Took me a bit to get through it.

That was the best ride I ever took. owo

It was a nice touch. Reminds you of the coaster ride for Sonic in SA1 except you actually jump.

Agreed. My favorite Wisps are Laser, Drill, Spike, and Rocket.
