Lime's Pokemon Reviews Empty Lime's Pokemon Reviews

Post by Lime Mon Jul 25, 2011 12:42 am

Okay everyone I will be posting a Pokemon for about one for every 2 or 3 days giving full detail about it and some strategies I have come up for it. The first pokemon is called...

    #269 Dustox
Dustox is a bug and poison type giving him somewhat immunity to stealth rocks and the bug type resists the ground type weakness by only doing normal damage so this is a neat pokemon.

    Dustox's stats
    Base HP-60/can range from 230(lowest)-324(highest)
    Base Attk-50/can range from 94(lowest)-218(highest)
    Base Def-70/can range from 130(lowest)-262(highest)
    Base Sp.Attk-50/can range from 94(lowest)-218(highest)
    Base Sp.Def-90/can range from 166(lowest)-306(highest)
    Base Speed-65/can range from 121(lowest)-251(highest)

Now Dustox has some low stats but most can be covered up by his stat boost movepool. Here is my moveset for my Dustox.

    Lime's Dustox
    Nature: Modest Item: Lum Berry
    Stats: Hp. 324/Attk. 100/Def. 176/Sp.Attk 150/Sp.Def 279/Speed 167
    Ability: Sheild Dust
    Moveset: Bug Buzz/Moonlight/Toxic/Quiver Dance
Now I have yet to see Dustox's full poteintal so my thoughts on it are'nt quite clear on it so I don't think using it would be the best decision.

Thats the pokemon for the week....

This next Pokemon is probably one of the most ANNOYING pokemon in Black and White wi-fi battles. It is called...

    #547 Whimsicott
Now what makes this Pokemon so annoying is it's ability called,"Prankster" Now what this does is give moves that don't attack a +1 move priority. So, let's say a pokemon was faster than Whimsicott, well if Whimsicott used a move like Toxic or leech seed it would go first. So with this pokemon don't attack, set up.

    Whimsicott's stats
    Hp-60/ 230-324
    Attk.-67/ 125-256
    Def.-85/ 157-295
    Sp.Attk-77/ 143-278
    Sp.Def-75/ 139-273
    Speed-116/ 213-364

Despite it's low attacks and lot's of weaknesses makes it a somewhat risky pokemon to have. Now Whimsicott DOES it get cotton guard however making it a defensive pokemon. Here is what I would reccomend.

    Nature:Calm Item:Leftovers
EV Spread: 252 HP and 126 in both defense and Sp.def
    Ability:Prankster
Moveset: Cotton Gaurd, Light Screen, Toxic, and Leech Seed
I have not used a Whimsicott yet but I have seen it do very well I may use one in the future.

Thanks for reading and for the positive comments, they strive me to do more.

Its secondary ability, Infiltrator, is also useful. It allows Whimsicott and Cottonee to ignore Reflect, Light Screen, Safeguard, and Mist. Their Dream World ability, Chlorophyll, boosts Speed during sunny weather, making them good to pair with Groudon during a Double, Triple, or Rotation battle.

I know this but I found it more useful with Prankster, and if it's going to be stalling instead of attacking, light screen and reflect won't matter. Plus Groundon is banned from wi-fi anyway.

Articuno should be banned on the WFC due to Mind Reader and Sheer cold naturally being in its move set.
