One of my cats died today

I woke up early this morning so I could argue with Cleverbot, and asked my dad if I could use my computer. After letting the dogs out, I fed the cats and noticed that one was missing at his usual feeding post. I go back into my dad's room, where I had seen him "sleeping," and tell him it's feeding time. After nudging him with my foot a few times without him even batting an eyelash, I crouch down to him to pull his leg in an attempt to wake him up, and, sure enough, he was as stiff as a board. I tell my dad, who was sleeping right in the bed, not more than five feet away, and he says, "You're kidding me!*" He feels the cat's chest, doesn't feel a heartbeat, and says, "Yep, he's dead alright."
We buried him in the back yard next to where we've buried several birds we've found on the porch, along with four gerbils.
My sister is going to be... angry...

Aww I'm so sorry. :/ Well he's in a better place now.
